Bayan is an environmental scientist with 15 years of experience in the O&G industry. Working with Aramco, she led the Upstream environmental strategy & policy function, focusing on decarbonization strategies, and recently championed the climate content for the sustainability report. She previously worked for the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Energy, where she represented LMDC and Arab group in climate change negotiations under the UNFCCC for several articles under the Paris Agreement. She served as an SME in the revision of the IPCC O&G sector guidelines for national GHG inventories, and for the CCS and GHG Management ISO committees. She regularly contributes to technical conferences with her expertise on climate, sustainability and the energy transition.

Bayan has an MSc in Energy and Environmental Economics & Policy form UCL. She is currently working with Corporate Strategy & Development at Aramco, where she is leading the ESG Policy Analysis function.
