Alex is a seasoned executive with a distinguished track record in the energy industry. Currently serving as the TAQA Group Executive Director of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) since the beginning of 2024, Alex brings over 26 years of experience in enterprise operational, commercial, and change management leadership. He joined TAQA in  2021, initially as a senior member of the Corporate Development team, where he played a crucial role in successful acquisitions and disposals. Recognized for his strategic acumen, Alex later transitioned to the role of Integration Leader, overseeing the consolidation of diverse businesses into the unified TAQA model.

Prior to TAQA, Alex held prominent positions at industry leaders such as SLB and Baker Hughes, and contributed significantly to the growth of startups. His career has been marked by leadership of business units across diverse geographical regions, with a particular focus on the Middle East, Asia, and Africa.

In his current role, Alex leads TAQA’s HSE function, driving the development and implementation of comprehensive strategies. He is responsible for overseeing HSE risk management initiatives, ensuring compliance across TAQA and its subsidiaries, and crafting frameworks and policies to foster a culture of safety and sustainability.

Alex earned his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago, U.S.A., underscoring his strong technical foundation and commitment to driving excellence in the energy sector.
