Deepwater development has shown strides in well construction performance as exemplified in offshore Guyana. Energy transition outlooks are pivoting to the realization that oil and gas will remain a key constituent for years to come. Projections show that an additional 56 million barrels a day will be needed between 2024 and 2030 simply to offset reservoir depletion and maintain current production levels. Notably, this significant performance improvement in USA land rigs has purportedly delivered a saving of 218 billion tons of CO2 gas emissions from drilling operations from 2013 to 2024.
