5 Drilling

Wednesday, 17 April
Ibsen
Technical
Although drilling for oil and gas has been performed for centuries using simple techniques, the demand for new technology to meet future drilling challenges is essential. Well projects are becoming increasingly complex to drill through complicated geological regimes while saving time and costs. Thousands of wells will need to be plugged, and these high costs necessitate new well technology to complete them effectively at lower costs. Some of this innovation will undoubtedly include artificial intelligence, which will be presented in this session.
