Tjerk Joustra is the Business Development Manager at Shell Ventures. He holds a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands and an MBA from Manchester Business School in the UK.

Since 2021, Tjerk has been leading the Shell Ventures Business Development team, where he specializes in corporate venture capital and business partnerships. His leadership experience extends to community leadership in offshore operational and project maturation environments, utilizing Lean and Continuous Improvement work practices.

Throughout his career, Tjerk has led the development, execution and optimization of oil and gas well and facility projects across various international locations.  He has always been at the forefront of implementing new technologies, solutions, and business models in the oil and gas sector globally.
