Tim is a geologist with over 30 years’ experience in the energy industry with a proven track record of identifying, negotiating and capturing new business opportunities and commercialising assets through development, equity reduction or sale. He has a PhD “Turbidity Current Processes and High Resolution Sequence Stratigraphy, Seine Abysssal Plain, NW Africa” from Cardiff University.

Tim has worked for Conoco, Hess and Premier Oil predominantly working on global new ventures. As Group Exploration Manager for Premier Oil, Tim has participated in several company acquisitions, multiple new country entries and been responsible for an extensive portfolio of licences. In 2018 with joint venture partners his team was awarded the WoodMackenzie and AIPN ‘Discovery of the Year Awards’ for the Zama discovery in Mexico. Tim is also a qualified Non Executive Director.

As a Business Development Director for Gaffney Cline, Tim is responsible for new business development in Europe and the Caspian Regions.
