Roelin Broos
Roelien Broos is Development Manager CCS Europe at Shell, where she leads the technical integration of CCS projects across the full value chain. Since 2019, she has played a key role in advancing CCS initiatives, including the Pernis–Porthos project and several opportunities in the Middle East.
With a career spanning three decades at Shell, Roelien has held a wide range of technical and leadership roles across upstream and integrated gas developments in Europe, Australia, the Middle East, and Asia. Her expertise includes project management, technology development, enhanced oil recovery, unconventional resources, and producing assets. This broad foundation uniquely equips her to navigate the technical novelties of CCS hubs and to drive project maturation in a rapidly evolving industry.
She brings a multidisciplinary perspective and a strong commitment to accelerating the energy transition through innovative and scalable CCS solutions. Roelien holds an MSc in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Twente and began her career as a Production Technologist in the iconic Brent field in 1995.
