Philipp Tippel holds a MSc. Degree in Petroleum Engineering of the Mining University in Leoben, Austria and has acquired 18 years of hands-on international experience in the oil and gas industry working throughout Central Europe, United States and North Sea. Since joining OMV in 2012, he has held various technical and leadership roles in the Production & Engineering domain starting in the field and working his way up to Head of Asset followed by Vice President.

Philipp leads and manages OMV Petrom’s E&P operated Assets of Romania (6 Assets & 3 joint ventures) and of Bulgaria (exploration license) with a total clean operating result of >600mn €/a. Leading OMV Petrom’s implementation of the Simplification of Operations strategy across all disciplines (with the key objectives to strengthen frontline safety ownership, cost discipline, decarbonization of existing Assets and implementation of new operating models.
