With over 15 years of experience bridging the oil & gas industry and cutting-edge geothermal research, Dr. Deb brings a rare blend of technical expertise, creative thinking, and global perspective to the energy sector. Dr. Deb began her career as a geoscientist in the oil and gas industry, spending six years with multinational giants such as SLB and Wintershall DEA, where she honed her skills in subsurface analysis and project execution. Her journey then shifted toward sustainability, dedicating the next eight years to advancing geothermal energy through high-impact research at top European institutions including ETH Zürich, TU Delft, and RWTH Aachen. Currently serving as Project Manager and Senior Geoscientist at Swiss Geo Energy, Dr. Deb leads innovative research and development projects in geothermal energy and broader energy transition solutions.

Throughout her academic and professional career, she has successfully led multi-million-euro international projects funded by the European Commission and Swiss Federal agencies, driving collaboration across academia, industry, and government. Her leadership in international consortia has positioned her at the forefront of sustainable subsurface energy solutions. Dr. Deb holds a Ph.D. in Geothermal Exploration, awarded Summa Cum Laude, and is recognized for her extensive portfolio of scientific publications and awards. Fluent in five languages and experienced in cross-cultural engagement, she brings a unique global perspective to the future of sustainable energy systems.
