Executive Plenary Session 1 - Unlocking Tougher Resources in the Caspian Region

Tuesday, 25 November
Sharg Zali 1
Panel Session

The Caspian region has long stood at the heart of the global energy story. From pioneering oil production in the 19th century to today’s drive for resilient and sustainable growth. As traditional reserves mature, the focus is shifting to unlocking tougher resources: residual barrels, small pools, unconventionals, complex gas developments, and more.

In this high-level plenary, senior executives from across the Caspian will share strategic insights on how innovation, collaboration, and infrastructure-led development can transform these challenges into opportunities. Discussions will explore the role of cutting-edge technologies, smarter investment, and regional cooperation in unlocking the next wave of resources while advancing sustainability and strengthening energy resilience.

By setting the tone for the conference, this session will highlight how the Caspian can leverage its heritage, harness innovation, and foster cross-border partnerships to remain a driving force in the global energy landscape.
