Charles Phillips
Charles Phillips is a sustainability and energy advisor specialising in Saudi Arabia and the GCC. Based between Oxford and Riyadh, he works closely with senior stakeholders across the Gulf, including government entities and mega projects, on clean energy, sustainable development, and net zero strategies.
Charles advises international clean energy and climate-focused companies on expanding into Saudi Arabia and the GCC. He regularly chairs high-level conferences and policy discussions across the region and has presented environmental documentaries and short films. He is known for bridging international and Gulf perspectives for high-level audiences.
Charles holds a Master’s degree in Middle Eastern Studies from the University of Oxford, where his research focused on Saudi Arabia’s climate change policy and economic diversification. He is an Advisor to the UN Global Compact Network Saudi Arabia and an Associate at Aeon Collective, a Saudi NGO focused on sustainable development.
