Bassel Abdelwahab

Bassel Abdelwahab is the Vice President – Digital for the Middle East and North Africa at SLB, bringing over 22 years of experience in the energy and digital sectors. Throughout his career, he has held a range of strategic, commercial, and technical leadership roles, including Global Commercial Director, Marketing Manager for Egypt and the East Mediterranean, and Reservoir Characterization Sales Manager for the Northern Middle East.  Bassel has been instrumental in shaping SLB’s strategic direction across multiple domains—driving growth, expanding into new markets, elevating service delivery, and pioneering innovative commercial models. His contributions have also included leading global digital transformation programs and designing and managing central services operations within Integrated Software Solutions.  He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Physics from the American University in Cairo and a Master’s degree in the Management of the Oil & Gas Industry from Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh
